1.2 Assumption of Risks
By enrolling in an NPS course, participants acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with the nature of the training, including but not limited to physical exertion, interaction with equipment, and exposure to simulated or real scenarios. Participants agree to assume full responsibility for any personal injury, property damage, or other losses that may occur.
1.3 Release of Liability
NPS, its officers, instructors, employees, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising out of, or in connection with, participants' use of its facilities, equipment, or services. Participants, their heirs, and assigns release NPS from any liability for claims or demands arising from their participation in training.

Participants agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NPS from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with their participation in courses.
1.5 Firearms and Safety Compliance
Any participant enrolling in a firearms-related course must comply with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding firearm possession and use. Participants certify that they are legally permitted to handle firearms and acknowledge that failure to comply with firearm safety rules will result in immediate dismissal from the course without refund.
1.6 Media Release and Use of Likeness
By attending NPS courses, participants grant permission for NPS to photograph, film, or otherwise record their participation. NPS may use these materials for promotional, marketing, or educational purposes, unless a written request to opt out is provided by the participant in advance.

CCW Reciprocity Map — Disclaimer & Liability Notice
5.1 Purpose & Scope
Nationwide Police Services LLC provides an interactive CCW Reciprocity Map as a free public educational resource on nationwidepolice.com and within the NPS Portal application. The Map is intended to help firearms owners, security professionals, and members of the public gain a general understanding of concealed carry laws, permit requirements, constitutional carry status, and interstate reciprocity agreements across all 50 United States and the District of Columbia.
This Map is an educational tool only. It is not a legal database, not a real-time government record, and not a substitute for professional legal advice or direct consultation with state law enforcement agencies.
5.2 Origin & Nature of Data
The data displayed in the CCW Reciprocity Map was compiled and generated through the following process:
- AI-Assisted Research: State-by-state CCW data was researched and compiled using artificial intelligence trained on publicly available information, including state statutes, official state police publications, and attorney general guidance documents.
- Public Government Sources: The underlying legal information reflects publicly available state and federal law. This information is not proprietary and is drawn entirely from public government sources.
- No Third-Party Proprietary Database: NPS does not license, subscribe to, or reproduce data from any third-party CCW data service or paid information provider. All data was independently compiled from public sources.
- Official Source Links: Each state entry includes a link to that state's official law enforcement or attorney general website for independent verification.
- Quarterly Refresh Schedule: NPS updates the Map data on a quarterly basis using AI-assisted research with live internet access to capture recent statutory changes and updated permit requirements.
Note on AI-Generated Data: While AI research draws from authoritative public sources, it is not infallible. State laws change, court rulings alter enforcement, and reciprocity agreements are added or removed without advance notice. NPS cannot guarantee that every data point is current or complete at the time of viewing.
5.3 Accuracy Limitations
- Laws change without notice. State legislatures pass new firearms laws regularly. Constitutional carry has expanded to 27 states in recent years and reciprocity agreements change frequently.
- Local ordinances may differ. The Map reflects state-level law only and does not capture local city or county ordinances.
- Sensitive locations are not mapped. Even where carry is otherwise legal, federal and state law prohibit carry in many specific locations. The Map does not reflect these restrictions.
- Federal law applies everywhere. Federal firearms laws apply in all states regardless of state carry laws and are not reflected in this Map.
- Data may contain errors. Despite reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, the Map may contain typographical errors, outdated information, or inaccuracies.
5.4 No Legal Advice
Nothing contained in the CCW Reciprocity Map constitutes legal advice. NPS is a licensed security agency and MPCTC-approved training provider — we are not a law firm and do not provide legal services.
Using this Map to make decisions about carrying a firearm across state lines without independently verifying current laws could result in serious criminal consequences including arrest, prosecution, felony charges, and permanent loss of firearm rights. Always verify current laws with official state sources before carrying.
5.5 Limitation of Liability
By accessing or using the CCW Reciprocity Map, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You assume all risk associated with your use of this Map and any decisions made in reliance upon it.
- NPS provides the Map "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.
- Nationwide Police Services LLC, its owners, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any criminal charges, civil liability, fines, penalties, loss of rights, or other consequences arising from reliance on information provided in this Map.
- NPS shall not be liable for any damages arising from inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information in the Map.
5.6 Intellectual Property
The underlying legal information displayed in this Map — state statutes, carry laws, permit requirements — constitutes publicly available government information and is not subject to copyright protection. The Map's user interface design, code, compiled database structure, and NPS branding are the intellectual property of Nationwide Police Services LLC and may not be reproduced without written permission.
Color coding note: The color-coded state classifications used in this Map are based on universally understood intuitive color associations and standard legal classifications used throughout the public domain. They do not replicate any proprietary design system.
5.7 How to Verify
Before traveling with a firearm, NPS strongly recommends verifying current laws through: your state's official carry permit authority, the destination state's official law enforcement website (available via the "Official State Source" button in the Map), the ATF at atf.gov for federal regulations, and a licensed firearms attorney for complex situations.
