Do you provide armed security guards in Maryland?
Yes. Nationwide Police Services LLC provides licensed armed security guards throughout Maryland, Baltimore, Washington DC, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. All armed officers hold valid state security licenses and firearms qualifications. Call (240) 749-1141 for a free consultation.
What is the difference between a security guard, armed guard, and Special Police Officer (SPO)?
An unarmed security guard provides a visible deterrent without a firearm. An armed security guard carries a firearm with proper qualifications. A Special Police Officer (SPO) is a state-commissioned officer with limited law enforcement authority who can make arrests and carry a firearm within their jurisdiction. We provide all three.
Do you use off-duty police officers for security?
Yes. Nationwide Police Services specializes in staffing off-duty and retired law enforcement officers for security assignments. Our officers bring real police experience to every post, providing a level of deterrence and response capability that standard security cannot match.
What areas do you serve?
We provide armed and unarmed security throughout Maryland, Baltimore, Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Pennsylvania — including Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Harford County, Howard County, Prince George's County, Montgomery County, Anne Arundel County, and all surrounding areas.
Do you provide security for events in Maryland?

Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Nationwide Police Services LLC holds Maryland security agency license #105-5805 and DC license SAB40000230. We are fully licensed and insured in every state we operate in. All officers placed with clients are individually licensed and background-checked.
Do you provide security officers Nationwide?
Nationwide Police Services LLC is currently licensed and operating in Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, with active expansion underway. All deployed officers hold valid state security licenses and applicable firearms qualifications for their jurisdiction. If your location falls outside our current licensed states, contact us directly, we work to accommodate clients on a case-by-case basis and can often mobilize to meet your needs. Do you offer online courses?
Select courses are available in an online format, however as a premier training provider we strongly prefer in-person instruction to ensure full student engagement and comprehension. Many of our courses, particularly SPO certification, defensive tactics, and firearms qualification — require hands-on application that simply cannot be replicated online. Teaching arrest powers and physical techniques through a screen does a disservice to both the student and the public they will serve.
